Herbalism

If you are open to them, plants will help you to know yourself better. They will reveal things to you and invite things of you. If you choose to step through the doorways they open, they may become life-long guides through the twists and turns of life.

Herbalism is a holistic approach to supporting physical and mental wellbeing using plants to treat the underlying cause of illness. It is a healing system that has been used for thousands of years. There are many strands within herbalism such as Medical, Ayurvedic, Chinese and Intuitive Herbalism. My way to share the plants is centred around 2 approaches; Wild Medicine and Intuitive Herbalism. What that means in practice is that I offer herbal foraging workshops out in the wild exploring different ways of getting to know plants and how to transform them into medicine for mind and body. I also hold ritual space exploring the healing potential of plants through tea meditation, cello voice work.

What is intuitive herbalism?

Intuitive herbalism is the practice of learning directly from the plants, honing intuition and exploring the healing processes that come from this human-plant relationship. An intuitive herbalist has a deep relationship with plants and is able to act as a guide between plant and person to support them in their healing journey with plants. I have spent 3 years studying at the School of Intuitive Herbalism and I am currently completing my portfolio.

Wild Medicine

Wild Medicine is about empowering people to take care of their own health by getting to know the plants that are all around them and can support physical and mental wellbeing. It is about learning how to harvest and transform plants into medicine with respect, all the while building a relationship with the natural world.

I hold foraging walk, talk and makes, bringing in story, song and folk lore, to bring each plant character alive. I ask you to dive into your senses in getting to know a plant as in my opinion it is through direct experience that long lasting knowledge and relationships are built.

Are you curious to deepen your relationship with plants, the natural world and yourself?
